I optimized my optometrist website over 5 years ago, and it still ranks #1 in Google for the highly competitive terms: Sacramento eye exam, Sacramento contact lens, and Sacramento optometrist. With thousands of users coming in through Google search, the site has maintained its high listing and nearly doubled it client base from 30,000 to 70,000 in just 5 years time with no other promotional activities.
Folsom Pain Management Therapy
I recently optimized handsonhealer.net. This website competed with massage therapists and chiropractors which are both highly competitive in search engines. Since this small website cannot compete with those, I focused on niche services within local searches. After researching the most searched words in the local region, we created a new page for each word (for each service) where we wanted to rank in search.
Here are the Google rank results we saw after changing the site from one general page about services to a page for each individual service:

I consulted jillcarmel.com with some search advice. The site originally was all Flash, which is an important design element for a photographer website. Since Flash is not readable by search engines, we added text to the bottom of the homepage full of highly searched keywords. Also created a blog that can continually update with relevant search terms. These along with some well crafted page titles and meta descriptions got the site to rank #1 within a month.
